Manoj Jain, Founder, Chairman

Manoj has played an instrumental role in the success that Pipal has achieved in the short span of six years. Manoj is actively involved in building clients, and has not only initiated global management systems at Pipal, but has also been instrumental in maintaining the highest professional and quality standards within the organization. He has been the main spokesperson for the Pipal team, and is committed to 'people development' at Pipal. Prior to starting Pipal Research, Manoj was a strategy consultant at McKinsey where he interacted with financial services, aviation, and high tech clients, primarily in the areas of corporate growth strategy, mergers and acquisitions, operations effectiveness, reorganization, e-commerce and IT. During this time he worked in the New York, Zurich, Brussels and London offices of McKinsey. Before joining McKinsey & Co., Manoj worked as an analyst and a certified cash manager at First Chicago Bank. He started his career as a researcher at the prestigious Bhabha Atomic Research Center in India.

Manoj holds an undergraduate degree in digital electronics engineering from India, and postgraduate degrees from University of Illinois and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.

Matthew Vallance

Matthew Vallance has 15 years of experience in the sales and marketing of technology products and services in the UK, mainland Europe and Asia. Since the inception of Firstsource, he has built an experienced team in the UK who engage with clients from conceptualization through to the delivery of their offshore strategy. Prior to this, he set up and ran InCode, a consulting business helping UK companies outsource IT services to India. Before forming InCode, he was head of the Indian subsidiary of Text 100 Plc, a FTSE-listed global technology PR consultancy. Companies including Microsoft, British Telecom and Compaq retained Text 100 India.

Carl Saldanha, Global Chief Financial Officer

Carl has over 20 years of rich experience in the financial services industry divided between Banking and Corporate Finance. He has handled a combination of fast moving, high impact, growth oriented CFO roles with leading corporations. In his previous role as CFO at Jet Airways, Carl has been instrumental in leading a very successful IPO (USD 450m) and the acquisition of Sahara Airlines. He has also been CEO of Chase in India, Director & Head of Corporate Relationships at Deutsche Bank and CFO of of Essar Oil.

Carl has an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines and a B Tech (Electrical Engineering) degree from IIT, Mumbai.

Ronald H. Farmer

Ron Farmer, is Managing Director of Mosaic Capital Partners, a Toronto-based holding company with interests in several private companies. Prior to joining Mosaic in 2003, Ron spent 25 years with McKinsey & Company, serving as Managing Partner for the Canadian practice from 1991 to 1997 and as Senior Director from 1998 until his retirement in December 2002. Ron is currently Director of Integran Technologies, Morph Technologies, Inc. and PowerMetal Technologies, and several not-for-profit organizations. Ron is a member of the Bank’s Audit, Conduct Review and Human Resources and Management Compensation Committees.

He holds a B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario.
